The I-REC Service is a global energy environmental attribute tracking system designed to facilitate reliable carbon accounting for Scope 2, compliant with multiple international carbon accounting standards. I-REC enables all electricity users to make an informed, evidence-based choice for renewable energy, in any country in the world. Each Renewable Energy Certificate (whether I-REC or I-REC with REC Brazil Seal), is equivalent to 1 MWh of energy generated and injected into the electrical system by the enterprise in a given period, with clean and traceable energy to reduce environmental impacts.
